Depression and anxiety are more than psychological. Emotionally charged and traumatic experiences often lead to psychosomatic suffering. What we believe we experience in our minds is more often in the mind body causing physical pain (back pain, headaches, somatic complaints, etc. Western physiological treatment for anxiety and depression is medication and talk therapy. For some, there is disappointment in the medications because they dull our senses and emotions, leaving us with the dis-ease of feeling disconnected to ourselves and others. The Yoga traditions developed a very different point of view about suffering. Yoga provides a science of awakening practices to understanding who we are, who we can be; how to live the life we want. This class provides more than the "how to" practice Yoga. This class provides Yoga skills that connect the student to the blueprint of who you already Are.
